THE GATE HOUSE & INTERPRETIVE PANELS Centenary of ANZAC – Emu Park QLD

On the 28 January, 2016 the first sod of soil was turned by representative from Livingstone Shire Council, Emu Park RSL, Bendigo Bank Emu Park and the Lyons Club.
The Gatehouse will house 26 interpretive panels providing an overview of our ANZACS and a time line illustrating the major conflicts during the First World War.
The Gatehouse was officially opened on the 23 April, 2016 and was represented by Federal, State, Local Council, RSL QLD, Pioneer-Fitzroy Highlands District, Emu Park RSL, Bendigo Community Bank Emu Park and Emu Park Lyons..
There are twelve families from the Capricorn Region who served in THE GREAT WAR.
Some of these men and women were fortunate enough to survive the horrors of war and others were killed in action
